Frank,
I'm a believer in your analysis of the current "glut". My
thinking led me to move into HSAC at its recent low. I like
their business plan of high speed access through cable to
the "Mr. Rodger's Neighborhoods" of the hemisphere. It
certainly seems to be the most elegant solution that I've
seen to the last mile conundrum-- I don't believe that Paul Allen's deep pockets will go elsewhere either. So, seems
that they are set to move onward and upward through the
fog. Of course, I get a little giddy thinking about Ray's
comment, in his reply to you, in post 1118 regarding the
possibility of selling CPU time back during non peak
periods. I would even wonder if companies in need of
super computing power couldn't team with companies providing
high speed access to pay for consumer access in return for
a contractual obligation for the use of CPU time.
