News Release
Mr. Steve Kee of the Toronto Stock Exchange reports
The Toronto Stock Exchange halted trading in Nortel Networks at 11:58 a.m. ET following an unprecedented number of orders that created delays in the TSE's trading
system's ability to match orders in all stocks. The TSE made this decision in order to maintain a fair and orderly market in all listed stocks.

Nortel trading remains available on other markets. The TSE is working closely with the New York Stock Exchange to ensure a continuous market is provided for this stock. The TSE will advise when trading in Nortel may resume on the TSE.
