I believe. I am not running for or away. I have been a student of history and economics for a very long time. I don't think people change very much, but what is socially and politically acceptable does. The US Federal government has been the source of much of the positive change in my lifetime and the Democrat party has been the driving force. There have been many unsavory Democrats along the way (Clinton, the latest), many costly economic mistakes have been made by Democrats, and many Democrats have been involved in graft. There have been and are good Republicans, but the party is too often on the wrong side of the most important human rights issues.
