I thought perhaps you would be interested in seeing both sides of the story, and that you'd consider the facts in light of history. I see now that I was mistaken. I think anti-Catholicism is as repugnant as anti-Semitism or prejudice against any other religion. If you were trashing Judaism I'd speak up, too. Blaming a religion for the errors of its members is short-sighted. I don't blame Shinto or Buddhism for the Rape of Nanking, for example. Do you?

Your argument reminds me of the people who focus on the fact that Jefferson kept slaves to the exclusion of any other fact about him. Yes, slavery is immoral, and Jefferson was wrong in that respect, but Jefferson also did some wonderful things, and was, on the whole, an admirable man.
