it's funny how on when it comes to stocks like NT we are told to focus on operating earnings and revenue growth but told to ignore the one time write offs and amortization of goodwill. Then on stocks like IBM we are told to ignore operating earnings and lack of revenue growth and focus on net income growth that comes from gains from investments and stock buy backs. It's a sad game. Most just don't get it. I see Merrill must have go caught with their pants down. Calling a conference call to try to bail out the optics sector.
