Janice, I knew I screwed up, the market was closing, the pressure was on and I kept thinking the old adage was "Buy now, sell later". I actually bought QDEK at about 30% above lows before the action started. I'm in for only $330 imcluding commission on both ends, and it should have a certain educational and entertainment value, no?
Thanks for your reply and the TA view on SHFL. I did briefly try the IT Help, but it's a case by case thing, no overview. I guess I'll play with it some more since it sure looks useful and the price was right.
PAP is Asia Paper and Pulp, the largest producer in Asia outside of Japan. It's based in Singapore, trades as an ADR on the NYSE and my mutual fund Strong Schafer Value owns it. I looked closer when the new Worth came with an article touting their version of the world's fifty best stocks. It's not widely followed yet, and looks promising long term.

OSHSF is an Israeli holding company, owning a large stake in a few successful software companies, including Tecnomatix, Decalog BV, and Manof Communication. I read about it in "The Street", an excellent daily web magazine with a two week free trial. No credit card needed unless you decide to subscribe later. James Cramer co-founded it, and contributes his candid and humorous views daily. They seem to have high ethical standards as well. The article on Oshap Technologies is in the "$10 Store" section.

I like this magazine, and hype it as much as possible. Worth is also pretty good, and features James Cramer most months. I got in for three years at $30, so the downside is small there, too.
I'm broadening my vocabulary reading this thread, I keep my dictionary nearby. According to my American Heritage, the fuit of the durian tree is supposed to have a pleasant taste and foul smell. Is this true? That's unusual. What does it smell like? Writing about smells is like... |
