No, the computer is actually losing time. I have no idea whether it is the battery or the clock device itself. At times the computer stops for a few seconds (mouse not responding) and it may be that the CPU has stopped and it is this time that I'm losing. My feeling is that it may be a hardware rather than a software issue.
Neglected to advise that until recently I've been running my celeron 300a overclocked to 450. Perhaps it has been damaged.
