Sam - Many people have been predicting a year end rally or oe begining after October is over and something to do with mutual funds selling and causing the makret to tank. My guess is that the Nov/Year end rally isn't going to happen. Just look at how many days the market has been down. Anyone living through this has seen net worths halved and more and it has been relentless. just when you think its over some other disaster which turns out not to be a disaster by any normal measure turns up and sheer panic ensues. today was such a day but even now its not over the carngage continues after hours as people wake up to the risk reward ratio of staying in the market at all with JDDSU due after the bell tomorrow. If it is 110% perfect will the makret turn around for the better? Well who wants to gamble with a risk of JDSU is the most perfect announcement in finacial history or it isn't. In the first case the marekt starts to woryy about what the Dallas Fed Govenor meant when he announced today that people better get ready to hear of a much bigger drop in GDP on Friday than they were expecting. In the latter case the entire makret takes another 200-300 point drop which for SNDK means disproportionately higher loss of say 20% per day as long as this mess continues. For heavens sake SSTI lost over $2 today and it has a P/E on next year of less than 10. This is a real bear. Best regards, L
