i'll stick with my original statements.... i think the only "forseeable" mistake made was Noam's providing unrealistic timetables. they don't pay the investment bankers for nothing. i think the deal will still garner more attention and a better underwriting crew than would have been the case before the acquisitions. further, they could have certainly COMPLETELY missed out on the acquisitions had they waited. other fiber optic companies were certainly talking to the acquired companies and clearly the sec wasn't going to allow an ipo while they're in the middle of acquisitions. those acquisitions are paramount to the future success of LMNE. if you want deals that are all "hype", that only works ONE TIME. i'd prefer a very solid first ipo, so the subsequent ipo's are favorably received.

if you think the "fiber bubble has burst," i'd suggest you run, not walk, to the exits. i don't believe that's the case. there's been a temporary revaluation of the stocks in the sector. even if you take this new value for the sector, MRV is extremely cheap if you continue to look at it's "relative" value.
