John, your information on Cymer's competition, Intel's use of DUV, and SVGL's market share is correct and accurate. Cymer lasers are used in about 95% of all KrF steppers and 100% of all ArF steppers. The only excimer laser competition on the horizon is Lambda Physik. Amazingly, Lambda Physik was there first there with the lasers, but somehow never executed correctly and lost the entire market to Cymer. However, if there is ever a future competitor, they are probably best positioned to be it today. Note that Lambda Physik has sold some KrF and ArF lasers for flood exposure tools into the semiconductor industry. This year about 350+ KrF steppers will be shipped and about 10 ArF steppers (exactly 6 ArF steppers out there now in the world). Pete
