Well, as some people here know, given the choice of Windows OS's, I'd chose Windows 2000 Professional without hesitation.

It's much more stable and robust than 98 or Millenium, and it's fairly pointless to install NT4 on new hardware nowadays.

Besides, since you are using this computer for trading, I would assume that reliability and stability are key. Those two words are synonymous with Windows 2000 (well, at least as far as M$ OS's are concerned).

And as a plus, since Dell is installing the OS for you, you can rest assured that the hardware components they are using are certified with Microsoft.

All things considered, Windows 2000 Professional is the clear choice IMO.
