Dave.... Great point..we must have volitility to trade....short or long....I have found myself trading options for the last 3 months and found that the cash outlay is much easier to stomach....than buying the common...as for the dark side of shorting (via puts)....that has kept me in the game thru this earnings season....it's hard to post much in re: to puting a stock that most you follow are trying to grind out long....but this strategy must, and I mean must, be adapted in this environment.....going short, whether stock or option, is a method of survival for those that trade for a living... Thanx for breaking the ice with this subject....a little bearishness now and then can save, and even, earn you a bunch of $$$$$....<steven>
