Great point..we must have volitility to *trade*....short or long....I have found myself trading options for the last 3 months and found that the cash outlay is much easier to stomach....than buying the common...as for the *dark side* of shorting (via puts)....that has kept me in the game thru this earnings season....it's hard to post much in re: to puting a stock that most you follow are trying to grind out long....but this strategy must, and I mean must, be adapted in this environment.....going short, whether stock or option, is a method of survival for those that trade for a living...

Thanx for *breaking the ice* with this subject....a little bearishness now and then can save, and even, earn you a bunch of $$$$$....<steven>
