flapjack, I think you are wrong on two counts; Rush Limbaugh takes the truth and jams it down the throat of the perpetrator. I have found him to be truthful but extremely skilled in identifying the scams some politicians attempt to play on the American public. Secondly, Bush is going to offer our younger people the option of investing, under reasonable guidelines, a small percentage of their money. Because of this in around 25-40 years we will have some very wealthy people. The compounding of money is the 8th wonder of the world. I do have to ask you a question; Why are you against young people being able to create an estate? With the conventional social security it is merely a Ponzi scheme. I doubt if there is any earnings to it. They simply take the money paid in by 3 or so workers and use that to pay the benefits of one retiree. When social security was started in the 30's around 35 workers supported one retiree. Sometime in the future you will have to pay enough into the program, as a worker, to support one retiree. One edge government has is that many workers either die before getting SS or soon after qualifying. In that case the government wins in that ALL the money paid in by the person over the years becomes government property with no benefit to him or his family unless they are a certain age to qualify. Bush is SO on the right track. In my eyes there is no comparison between a man who lies frequently, even when he doesn't have to, and an honest and forthright man who will bring us all together because he won't play the class and against class, and the race against race game.
