Third Quarter Conference Call on the Web

BUTTE, Mont., Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Montana Power/Touch America (NYSE: MTP) today announced the Company will release its financial results for Third Quarter 2000 after the market closes on October 24.

The company will conduct a public conference call and an audio webcast at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on Wednesday, October 25. The conference call dial-in number is 800-633-8540 and the pass code is 16498010. The audio webcast will be available simultaneously at www.mtpower.com or at event.videonewswire.com.

For those unable to listen at the designated time, a conference call replay will be available for 48 hours following the conference call (from approximately 3:30 p.m. EDT on October 25 to 3:30 p.m. on October 27. The replay can be accessed by dialing 800-633-8284 and entering the pass code 16498010.

If you are unable to participate during the live webcast, the call will be archived on the Web site www.mtpower.com. To access the replay, go to Investor Information and click the link named "Third Quarter Call" at the top of the page.
