I disagree on this one. I think the only self-interest people (and institutions) are concerned about when they invest is their pocketbook. There is such a tenuous connection between buying a stock and the development of new drugs that I can't believe it's ever going to be a substantial motivation.

I do think we will see some impact from high-tech billionaire philanthropists though, particularly as they start to age...
