From Edgar Online News: IPO investors have gotten cautious as November's presidential election approaches. Last week a single deal, the offering of network-equipment maker Ixia (XXIA), popped more than 15% when it began trading in the aftermarket. The other seven barely moved; Endwave Corp. (ENWV), a maker of components for broadband wireless communications, was offered at $14 and closed the first day at $14.06. Contrast that with the first week of October, when three of eight deals made big moves in the aftermarket. Leather-maker Coach Inc. (COH) jumped 27% on its first day, power-provider TNPC (NPW) spurted 29% and Oplink Communications (OPLK), a maker of fiber-optic components, surged 87%.
