Ah, yes, the Democrats, great fighters for civil rights, well, they say they are, and have many in the general populous convinced as well. Ask Juanita Broderick, Paula Jones, the people in the Executive travel department, that poor dead girl at Chappaquidick, pretty much any poor sap who gets in the way of the Clintons, Kennedys, Gores, and many other " protectors of the people", about their civil rights. Who has really helped the masses in the U.S. The economy builders, industry, people who create jobs, not the politicos, the never-done-nothing sleazeballs we elect.
Now gays have an issue, I hate that portion of the Republican party, especially the "Christian" coalition, with their old Puritanical views.
Ask about the civil rights of all the murder victims; thy're dead, all they were and would ever be stripped from them- and the extended suffering of their families, forever. But, no, worry about the civil rights of the perps more.
One black small business owner has done more for civil rights than Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Terd Kennedy, et all ever could or will.
