Stribe, I guess I ought to keep up with the Rambus situation more. Just that the innovations in CPU, cache, and overall server technology are much more interesting to me than what kind of RAM a particular machine is going to use. This Rambus whole thing is pretty slimey though, isn't it? I did hear through the grapevine that Intel didn't put the "A" team on the Rambus interface thing from day one. Intel is paying for it now. Fortunately, no Rambus is planned for servers, AFAIK, which are the fastest growing form of computers.
