CPQ and MSFT look like safer stocks as we head to 2001. Despite record 12 month trailing profits, MSFT still off 58pts from last year high. I have been trying to diversify to others but they look so dizzy. On a day to day basis softy goes up and down but I feel safe by two trends:

a) Trailing 12 month rolling EPS eps going up:
1.42,1.56,1.62,1.68,1.72,1.80,=> on ward and upward

b) Growth seem to be accelerating. June Q EPS grew 9%,
Sept Q grew by 23% (46c/38c), and good guidance to Dec and 2001.
