I spoke with Terry Owen @ Helix yesterday and although he could not say when approvals from the HPB might occur, he is hoping to hear something soon. I believe there are 3 or 4 products that have been submitted and the company is anxious to get them to market.
The anti-infective technology is getting closer to phase one stage (animal trials), and we should see this happen before the end of the year.
Sounds like the DNA lab is establishing an awareness in the police community for accurate, expedient and independent forensic analysis.
Terry also mentioned that the public relations efforts of Tim Fussner and Barr & Wilcox is generating recognition of Helix within the investment community.
I missed out on the last opportunity to buy more at 80-85 cents but with the trading being thin I would expect volatility for a while yet. I did pick up some more shares a couple of weeks ago at a buck. Incidentally, Terry also bought more recently--I didn't ask how much but I do know that insiders hold a relatively large percentage of the outstanding shares. This along with the employee share option plan are two solid indicators of confidence in the company.
