I need some advice: Which of these fat fiber stocks is best positioned to provide stuff to the edges of the Internet v. the backbone? WCOM and AT&T have recently announced decreases in capital spending plans and that they would de-emphasize the long distance backbone build out in favor of the local loop and ISP markets. Details of WCOM's plans are to be discussed on NOV 1. So which of these pigs (that have been on a diet lately) are best positioned to benefit from this shift?
