Although you appear to like the notion for its obfuscatory uses, in fact I have made utterly clear that I believe that neither theism or atheism makes people moral. I believe that, for example, the reasons behind the figures Del posted showing that 30% of Federal prisoners' religious affiliations are Catholic and 27% Protestant and less than 1/10th of 1% of them are atheist are sociological.

Do you think you can remember that? Sociological. Atheists break the law less, I suspect, because they are of a higher economic and educational class, and possibly for another reason having to do with the process many go through to arrive at atheism. Solon and I both conjectured about that.
