Hi Glen,
Great idea for a thread!
Here is an old ancor post from eleder from back in the giddy days of dec 99 when ancr skyrocketed on the infiniband announcement with intel. It will be fun to watch Brocade go from mudslinger to bandwagon regards infiniband. They may be caught between a rock(Cisco) and a hard place(Intel).

They really believe that there will be no market for 'Infiniband'. In other words, they believe the current PCI channel bus structure is more than adequate. IBM, CPQ, DELL, SUN, HWP, INTEL, etc are all wrong in fighting for years to try to promote NGIO, Future IO.<< Thanks for reminding me of something else Brocade said-because they didn't like it then but they are interested now. KJ -Their argument was so ridiculous because though they claimed they passed on Intel because they believed there was a possiblity that Infiniband might never deliver any revenues, they now will look at Infiniband opportunites and get active in that area, but they're still not sure about whether Infiniband will ever generate revenues EVER! It was a very strange circular answer. Greg Reyes I have to admit gets an A for presentation to analysts when he's working off the SCRIPT but falls to about a C- when it comes time to Q&A. In response to a question about Cisco he said Cisco has nothing in FC products and that Cisco would look to a company LIKE(nice wording) Brocade and then added "as early as next week." I had the distinct impression from Ken that SUN and Ancor very close to expnading there relationship. Ken H's style while it couldn't be anymore different then Greg Reyes isn't any less effective- I'd give him a B-B+ for the intro - an A as he got his legs under him and an A+ in the Q&A- The guy just thinks well on his feet - A little like Will Rogers with a computing background.
