Thanks, donjuan, that was very fair of you to post that information.
I was thinking about this last question you asked--
when I was in college (68 or 69 I guess), a freshman girl on my hall came to me and said she was pregnant and she had swallowed a whole bottle of quinine. I stayed up with her all night (does that constitute involvement?) but it didn't work and at the end of the semester she went home, just beginning to show and scared to death- her father was a doctor and opposed to abortion. She returned to school, no longer pregnant, very subdued, and never said anything to anyone. The boy in the story? If he even knew, he was a peripheral character in the drama, with no input in the decision.
It's maybe easier for me- who is of that era- to remember a time where the guys weren't really a part of the pregnancy drama, unless the scenario took the "shotgun wedding" direction. So it doesn't surprise me that GW might or might not have known. It sounds as if Flynt ran with a pretty flimsy report about something that happened thirty years ago to a young girl and I think that's sad. And not very relevant. BUt that's just my personal reaction to it.
