OT: Storage Gorillas?

I'm finally getting around to reading the "Gorilla Game". I've read
bits and pieces over time and articles on the concept.

Downsouth has written that NTAP is a NAS-gorilla, EMC seems to
be the overall storage Gorilla. I think the "Gorilla Game"'s best
concept is investing in Gorillas and other potential Gorillas.

Moore says that you at most invest in 3-4 Gorillas/gorilla candidates,
you don't want to own a whole basket (sector) of stocks that
potentially kill your returns. Thinking about storage, I see
3 candidates: EMC, NTAP and VRTS. Each company stands out
from the pack because:

1. They only do storage. There are no distractions within the
company as to where to put R&D dollars. EMC does have Data
General's server division, but I'll give them a break since
they will probably sell this off eventually.

2. They all have been successful in their respective areas:
EMC: big iron enterprise storage, NTAP: NAS storage and VRTS:
a Microsoft-like model for selling storage software.

3. They all are paranoid, competitor-aware of technology
"in the jungle". I could argue that EMC, being larger, has
a much harder time reacting quickly, NAS as an example.

4. They all have shown accelerated earnings and tornado or
tornado-like growth. Moore defines the tornado phase as
when growth exceeds 100% and there's quarter-to-quarter
acceleration.

Does anyone have other candidates? I'd float this at the
Gorilla Game thread but they aren't all as concentrated
on storage and thought I'd start here. Private messages
are fine if others don't want this discussed here.

A market potentially bottoming seems a good time to think
about getting some positions in other gorillas or gorilla-
candidates at good buy-in prices.
