Roe is a bad decision. If you can make your case, make it in the appropriate forum. Accept it: we have a case too. The state has an interest in protecting human life, regardless of stage of development or condition of dependency. We do not kill the comatose. We do not even take them off of life support, unless we are sure they are in an irreversible vegetative state. Left to itself, the fetus will "awaken". Once there is a zygote, there is one unique organism in process of development. It is alive, it is genetically human, it is human life. I do not propose to argue out the whole matter, but I cannot allow the fiction that the only principle that can be invoked in the situation is that of personal autonomy to pass without contradiction.......
