I think this all goes along with the "evolutionary, not revolutionary" theme that both AMD and Via seem to have adopted.

<So much for windfall profits for the MM if memory market stays soft and they adopt DDR memory in large volumes.>

Who said this? If anything, DDR's acceptance will be gated by the rate at which PC133 becomes obsolete, not driven by high hopes of profit margins.
