That's a nice thing about retirement. A little conservative elderly chicken-sh*t diversification (i.e. bonds) and a general LTB&H approach, and the government tends to only get between 0-20% of your income. It does indeed hurt writing those 50% checks to the bureaucrats; we've all been there and done that. I sympathize.

Of course, it's far from the worst problem one can have. You could be like JC and perceive eight dimensions at once without being able to turn it off. Think of that when you're writing that 7-figure check to the IRS and you'll feel better.<g>
