You misunderstood me. I think MSFT is being quite skillfully managed by deceptive experts.

Regardless of what you think of MSFT, you should agree that in the past year the stock market has made paupers out of many people who held short positions in overvalued companies, as bubble dynamics sent those overvalued equities soaring higher and higher. Sure, if they had the patience and deep pockets to wait it out, they might eventually have made some good money, but many otherwise prudent investors were wiped out before the payback hit. Shorting MSFT, while probably the right thing to do in the long run, is incredibly risky in the short term. MSFT's accountants can continue to manufacture profits out of thin air, in the face of declining operating earnings, for years to come.
