Continued speculation: if Gore can take Michigan and Tennessee he wins. But it is looking more and more possible that Gore could win without winning the national vote. Right now Bush seems to be up by 2-4% but Gore ahead in electoral votes. Sure it's close sop who really knows but if this is true and holds you could see Gore winning but the overall vote going something like Bush 45%, Gore 44.5%, Nader 3%, Buchanon and others 1.5%

This could especially be true if Bush manages to close the gap in California and New York to about 5%. Then he has big leads in the south, Texas and rockies while Gore wins many of his key states by a hair.

Just speculation but WOW!

On the other hand if Bush wins Tennessee and Michigan then Gore loses. Which is a reason Nader is so important in Michigan.
