American Spirit: Your analysis is sound. In Michigan, don't overlook the power of the AFL-CIO and UAW to get out the vote in Detroit, Flint, etc. In addition, President Clinton is working hard, behind the scenes, to get the black ministers and black leaders to get out the vote in the big cities. Saw a story on AP a little while ago on the fact that the NAACP has registered 10,000 new voters in Alabama. I am confident Gore will win Tennessee. That state does not scare me. He is a native son. Sympathy vote for Carnahan in Missouri (see the story I posted about 1/2 hour ago) may carry over for Gore. Ashcroft has his detractors in Missouri. Oregon, Washington are moving toward Gore. Latest Wisconsin poll has Gore ahead by about 8 points there, and CNN is now reporting Gore ahead in Florida. All signs look good. We're closing fast.
