it seems as though their processor businees does make a differnece

any stock price before the middle of 1995 would reflect the earnings
dues to CPU profits. as the CPU sales went down and other products
compenstaed, the stock only went down since the entire sector
was faltering for the latter 1995.

the new AMD prices would seem to be reflecting an assupmtion that
AMD will see NO profits for their CPU products, thus the price
appears to be adjusting to reflect a company that sells
the networking, flash, plds, etc...

of course, for the short term, any significant growth in the non-cpu
prodcut lines will appear "masked" when looking at earnings %
increases.

anyway, this is only my opinion. all thoughts welcome!
