Shirley: Coming here last evening to try and find the reason why PFG's price had dropped mid-afternoon, I was thinking that some type of announcement such as Barrick pulling out had been made. Then after reading that the drop was caused by Nesbitt dropping a large number of shares, I wondered if somebody at Nesbitt had received an inside tip from somebody at Barrick about the latter pulling out. I agree with you that a pull-out seems unlikely given that Barrick has a number of promising sites still to drill, CMS hasn't heard anything, the March 31 option date has been passed, and Nesbitt didn't just sell PFG (but apparently at least KRY also). The only thing PFG and KRY seem to have in common is that they may not have any big news out for at least a few months. The price drop after Nesbitt's sell-off does bring home how much effect a sell-off by such a large investor can have. It should be interesting on Monday to see if PFG's price moves back toward $4 or starts bouncing now around a figure below that. All the best. Sorry to hear about your husband's back problem.
