i guess it's possible...a situation where you'd have to pay people to take the stock certificates off you...then it'd be negative.

but so far it has staunchly defended the zero line...let's not forget that. i take that as a slightly encouraging sign.

some individual issues look however as if they could go below zero soon...

we should maybe put up a wailing wall for gold stock investors somewhere.
