I read the post about the Abraham-Stabenow(sp?) race tightening up in Michigan (if true, this bodes well for Gore in MI). In Missouri, if I understand it right, Mel Carnahan remains on the ballot against Ashcroft, it being too late to change the ballot, but the Missouri governor has said Mel's widow will be appointed to the seat if Mel Carnahan wins the election. And the good people of Missouri, bless 'em, prefer a deceased Carnahan to live Ashcroft. However, if Gore-Lieberman win, the Connecticut seat will go to a Republican. Yeah, it's possible the Senate switches, but it's drawing to an inside straight flush. I wouldn't put any money on it (though considering how the market has been doing recently, it might be a better bet - sigh).
