Re: "Too bad the 'blue man group' in that Intel commercial uses Apple G4's. "

Why is that relevant ? I'm sure the Blue man group uses different toilet paper than Intel uses in their wash rooms - should that have been detailed in the ad?

It's an Intel commercial.

It presents Intel's name and the Pentium III brand name.

It attracts viewers because of the catchy background soundtrack, the bright and vivid colors, and the comedy of their actions.

Re:"But why hype the P3 again, anyhow? Is the P4 too lame/expensive/limited or something?"

That's what Intel sells - about 20 million Pentium IIIs last quarter along with 10 million Celerons.

Intel is not advertising the Pentium 4 for the same reason AMD is not advertising the 1.2 GHz ThumperTurd.
