WaveRider Communications Inc. (NASDAQ:WAVC - news; FRANKFURT:WVR.FSE) today announced it will provide two LMS2000 systems to WirelessON of Mississauga, Ontario to launch its new high-speed wireless Internet service to its customers in Calgary and expand its service in southwest Ontario.
WirelessON, an Internet Service Provider (ISP), will install and deploy the two LMS2000 systems to provide Internet connections to its commercial customers in the Foothills Industrial Park in Calgary and the Airport Corporate Centre and nearby industrial parks in Mississauga in 2000. The company plans to expand its wireless Internet access network throughout Canada in 2001.

The LMS2000 is part of WaveRider's Last Mile Solution® (LMS) family of products. The LMS is the world's first fully networked, license exempt wireless system, bringing broadband Internet access to large, medium and small office/home office (SOHO) businesses, utilizing secure and interference-free spread-spectrum radio technology in the license-free 2.4 GHz ISM band. Engineering firms Comsearch and Scientech will support the installation of the LMS2000 for WirelessON as part of WaveRider's international engineering service agreements.
