c'mon, john....remember, people don't want to hear what ANALysts have to say!!! <g> they don't care that they wouldn't have those estimates, b/c THEY certainly wouldn't crunch the #'s, themselves. so i won't say that SSB also raised estimates from o.69 to 0.80 for '01 and from 0.92 to 1.10 in '02.... no, nobody wants to hear that.... headlines in SSB report:
-strong results, raising estimates
-no hint of double ordering, and demand appears robust
-optical stocks likely to see some support from this earnings release
-looking at a number of dimensions and seeking positive inflections points... (by the way, this is the same analyst who picked up the phone and contact WCOM, Q, etc., when NT posted their results to check actual concerns and reasons for temporary slowdown b/c of inventory)

i won't bore anyone with the rest of the details since the analysts play all those games....
