When a CEO can state direction it will help the public sentiment.

Example, headline from Intel......

Intel CEO says Pentium 4 ready in about a month - Reuters Securities

AWRE has their hands tied as to deals with their customers and when product will be released. We all know this and so do the short sellers.

AWRE shareholders have a difficult time dealing with progress of the company. We know it is happening, and earnings do show it, but forward looking statements and forward direction is why we buy a stock. "What are you going to do for me now and tomorrow, not yesterday".

This is why smart investors place weight on forward PE and not 12 month trailing PE. Yes, AWRE management issued strong guidance forward regarding number, but how are they going to get there is the question?

Continued growth from ADI?

New royalty customers?

What about potential royalty from patent positions?

When the fast retrain patent is issued, how soon after its release could we expect royalty deals to be signed? If at all? Now management and analyst seem to have made it clear patent royalties are not built into the forward guidance numbers. It also appears with the stock trading in the mid 20's that patent royalties are not priced into the stock as well.

Could this be the main issue regarding the depressed stock price and the huge bet made by the short sellers?

Does anyone think it would be possible for management to discuss this item publicly right now?

If they could, would it be the right thing to do?

Maybe I'll post this note and responses to AWRE IR and fax them as well.

Thanks.
