To All: I guess you have all seen the GDP number by now 2.7 vs. 5.1%. Alan has orchestrated an almost 50% slowdown in the economy by failing to see the fiscal tax represented by the OPEC increases. On top of that he keeps looking for inflation while disinflation is storming up his backside. Anecdotally, GM is closing two plants to work off inventory. But AG is embarrassed and seems to lack the candor and/or humility to admit that they have been too heavy handed and the last 3 rate hikes were unneccessary. Our only hope is that he will think of the words to save his ego while dropping rates by at least 1/2% and soon. JFD
