Yes, John. I live close to the Nations capital and we still don't have DSL or cable modem - I'm doing 56K as my top speed. But I don't get 2Mbits from the internet when I visit my nearby university either. Yes the backbone will be faster. But I would love to have modem speed in my PC when I'm on the road and I will get it soon thanks to Bluetooth.
