I just wondered whether there was an accepted gold equivalent of silver, i.e., how many ounces of silver are equivalent to 1 ounce of gold. I know it is straightforward using gold and silver prices, but presumably in a geological setting, when a company is drilling a property with gold and silver content, it is more difficult to calculate the gold equivalent ounces. Is there a conversion factor that can be used with confidence?

Thanks in advance
Robert
