I might have conveniently become Christian considering the consequences of NOT being protected by the Christians. Was protection by the Christians more likely, then, if the suppliant was Christian, too? Did they also afford protection to others? Why would a Christian be in jail, anyway? Because they didn't read the bible...or because they did??
