... in the late '80s, named Project _______ for his younger daughter. I'm not sure if your recall is on target to noj's question, but you are certainly correct about the configuration and the fact that it was named after someone's daughter. Here's an account of this white elephant that I jotted down in pencil in one of my journals back then, because I perceived it to be unusual and "innovative":
