Following is an exchange I had with WOW tech service. It didn't solve my problem but it sounds like your problem might be different than mine. You might want to try their "fix".

________

I downloaded and installed the update to DTN7
from here
ftp://216.0.225.68/download/wowupdate.exe and it works great. Seems a little speedier and I like the toolbar changes.

I have had one small problem , though, and I'm wondering if you have also run into it. This didn't used to happen before I installed the update, but now, when I try to run DTN 7 and WOW.com at the same time, I get an error message saying "Application is running". Do you get that also, or is it just me ?

Any help is appreciated.

_____________

The issue may be with a corrupted workspace.
Follow the steps below to try
and resolve your problem:

1. Close all programs and restart your computer.
2. When back at the desktop, go to START -
Programs - Windows Explorer.
3. Click on Program Files on the left and make
sure it is highlighted.
4. Double-click on the WindowOnWallStreet.com
folder on the right.
5. Double-click on the Workspace folder on the
right.
6. Rename all files that end in ".WWS" to
"filename.WW1" (i.e. -
Sample.WWS should be renamed to Sample.WW1).
7. Minimize the Windows Explorer window.
8. Log on to the WindowOnWallStreet.com service.

At this point you will get on to the program with
out opening any workspaces
(blank, grey screen). Go to File - New -
Workspace and create a new
workspace. If all is working well, then the
problem is definitely in one of
the other workspaces (the files we renamed). You
will have to rename the
files you originally renamed back to their
original name (i.e.- Sample.WWS)
and then go to File - Open - Workspace and open
each workspace one at time.
If you can open them fine, then you are all set.
If the program locks up
again, you will have to repeat steps 1 through 5
up above, and for step 6,
you must delete all the files that end in ".WWS".

If you have any further questions or concerns,
please feel free to contact
us. Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Dan S.
