Florida is tough because we have a lot of elderly. Gore and Clinton have, so far, been successful in their scare campaigns about social security and medicare. Hopefully, we will have a breakthrough to win solidly. Gore and Clinton made the same threats and, more importantly, the same promises to overhaul medicare and social security in each of the last two campaigns in 1992 and 1996. Then, after election they never addressed any reform. It is difficult to compete with a congenital liar who has no reluctance to tell a person whatever they want to hear. Especially, when you are trying to be truthful and honorable.
