I suspect this will be a "phantom launch" by AMD in order to pre-empt the Pentium 4 launch coming next month. Funny thing is that the public seems to forgive AMD and Via for phantom launches, but when Intel tries a few, there is an uproar.

Still, a "phantom launch" eventually turns into real product sooner or later, so I guess by then my point will be moot.
