sarmad, i agree with you re: israel's heavy handedness towards its neighbors. israel causes a lot of the anger and frustration. they are wrong and they should learn to value life more. killing in self defense is one thing. killing just b/c you can and calling "right" is another.

i had a guy ask me if i thought it was justified to kill somebody in my house if i deemed them a threat to my family. i said yes. i would try to avoid doing it, but if left no choice...

he then said that the jews were a "threat" inside the german house so they killed them.

the logic, of course, is strained to death. i'm afraid israel applies some of the same "logic" although not to the old german level (i think saddam does - he is just limited by resources).

killing is wrong and should be avoided at all costs. i don't see israel avoiding it very much.

i can't speak for 1967.

they will have peace when both sides really want it. imho, israel has more resources and should take a leadership role. however, they haven't.
