Number one, I don't remember seeing anyone holding flash cards at the debates.

Number two, according to the people on this thread, he's not smart enough to read.

Number three, he started that answer with a rebuttal to another point Gore had been trying to make.

I don't know what you've heard, but Bush came off better in the debates than Gore did. 3 debates, 3 different Gores. And, the American public did not like Gore's performance. Gore is a phony who will change with the wind. Speaking of which, Gore's "flashcards" were his advisors telling him how he should act in the debates. Bush is the same. What you see is what you get.
