The Economist" magazine thinks Amazon could better be classified as a software company. They have over 100 programmers working on their web site, constantly turning out new innovations.

I dig The Economist, but this has to be out there among the stupidest comments I ever heard.

By that token Boeing is a software giant (watch out Microsoft) . They have thousands of programmers, and more computer software innovations than 20 Amazons put together...

Was the quote in a recent Economist or a while ago?
